S’moo is all about helping you balance your hormones but do you know all the possibilities?! For some women, S’moo promotes menstrual regularity, reduces PMS & PMDD symptoms, promotes PCOS relief, reduces acne and promotes overall healthier skin. Since S'moo rebalances your hormones it also can decrease hirsutism. It can also help improve fertility with healthy egg maturation and increase libido. It may help improve insulin levels and help you with weight management. Not to mention, women all over have raved about their increased energy and improved mood.

So how can one product help with so many things? It’s because when your body has a hormone imbalance your body starts producing too much or too little of these powerful hormones. This can create a natural disaster inside you and it varies from woman to woman but overall hormone imbalances can cause a snowball effect, so to speak.

Here is a breakdown on what is in S’moo and how it can help balance your body and promote positive changes!

All of the following ingredients can help with multiple things but it’s the unique combo of S’moo that helps so many women every day. Take a look at some of the ingredients.

One of my favorite ingredients that helps promote normal hormone levels and regular menstrual cycles is Inositol. It also helps how the body processes and uses insulin which can be beneficial for women with PCOS. You’re going to hear a lot about insulin in this blog, so what is it? Insulin is a hormone that regulates the absorption of sugar (glucose) by cells. If your body is over producing insulin, more glucose is able to enter your cells but your cells can get more glucose than they need. Glucose that your cells don’t use becomes fat.

A driving condition that leads to multiple PCOS symptoms is high insulin. This is because high insulin not only can cause weight gain but also cause the ovaries to make excess testosterone and impair ovulation.  Which is why, besides having Inositol in S’moo to help with insulin,  you’ll see a few more ingredients mentioned in this blog to help regulate insulin because rebalancing your insulin can cure many symptoms.

Another helpful ingredient to help improve insulin levels and insulin sensitivity is NAC supplementation. NAC helps to reduce menstrual irregularity, abnormal hair growth (hirsutism), and cholesterol. Some studies also show improved ovulation and pregnancy rates as well as improving egg and embryo quality, which makes sense because having a balanced insulin level that isn’t over producing will bring back a more regular cycle. Which is why NAC is great for increasing your fertility.

Suffering from infertility and depression? Ashwagandha treats symptoms like irregular period, infertility, depression, weight gain, and insomnia by restoring hormonal balance. It lowers cortisol (stress hormone) and testosterone. It makes the body use up insulin and lowers fat. It also fights cell damage by boosting immunity. Taken with other herbs, it induces ovulation, regularizes periods, and relieves period pain.

Magnesium is one of the body’s electrolytes, which are minerals that carry an electric charge when dissolved into the bloodstream.  It’s amazing how many people actually aren’t getting enough magnesium because it’s needed for over 300 body reactions and functions. S’moo has Magnesium Citrate used to improve insulin sensitivity, fight fatigue & stress, improve heart health, fight symptoms of depression and promotes better sleep. “Magnesium is a mineral that our bodies rely on to feel fit, healthy and full of vitality,” nutritionist Fiona Tuck

This next one is a chemical compound often used as a nutritional supplement to treat type 2 diabetes and reduce insulin resistance. Chromium Picolinate is a trace mineral that enhances the function of insulin, it does this by increasing the sensitivity of the insulin receptor. We picked this ingredient for S’moo for all the women suffering from PCOS. It’s important because when PCOS is left untreated, 40% of women will develop type 2 diabetes, not to mention have difficulty avoiding weight gain.

Protein? YES! This Brown Rice Protein used in S’moo is an easily digested, fast absorbing, and a superb plant source of amino acids (the building blocks of protein) that provides a good protein alternative for people who are looking to avoid dairy. Brown Rice Protein may promote a decrease of body fat and help normalize blood sugar.

Vitamin D3 has been shown to play a role in egg quality, development, and overall fertility. Vitamin D has also been associated with reducing androgen levels, improving overall mood, and lowering inflammation. You can check out a longer blog on Vitamin D here

Zinc Gluconate may help improve PMS symptoms, fertility, hair loss, acne prone skin and reduce inflammation. Cholesterol and glucose metabolism, as well as fertility are all affected by Zinc. Zinc plays a very important role in your body’s production, storage, and use of insulin. Check out our blog on Zinc here.

All of these lovely ingredients combined, help your bodies hormones regulate. Hopefully this blog gave you insight into why!
