Strawberry Baked Donuts
Looking for a sweet treat but on the healthier side? Why not try these hormone balancing donuts made with Strawberry Ovary Good from S'moo. We believe that having a treat once in awhile is a good way to find balance. However, finding ways to make those treats good for you can be difficult. Which is why we wanted to give you a few options.
1 cups All Purpose Flour
3 Tbsp Granulated Cane Sugar
6 scoops SMOO Ovary Good Strawberry
1 tsp. Baking Powder
¼ tsp. Salt
1 Med. Egg, lightly whisked
¾ cups Milk
1 tbsp. Olive Oil, or Melted Butter
¼ cup Fresh Berries
½ cup Powdered Sugar
1 Tbsp Milk
Preheat oven to 350F. Lightly spray or grease your donut pan (makes enough for 6 donuts).
In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, ovary good powder, baking powder, and salt together.
Stir in the whisked egg, milk, and olive oil. Add one tablespoon more milk at a time if needed to thin out the batter. However, the batter will be thick like cake batter.
Transfer the doughnut batter to a large piping bag with a wide 1" tip to pipe into the greased doughnut pans.
Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Remove from oven and allow them to cool in pan for at least 5 minutes.
In the meantime, blend the berries, powdered sugar, and remaining 1 tablespoon milk until smooth and thick. Dip each doughnut into the frosting and place on a wire baking rack to drain dripping frosting. Enjoy!
