I'm 22 and, October of 2020 changed my life forever, for the longest time I knew something was wrong with always having irregular periods. But growing up by bio mom always told me there was nothing wrong with my irregular periods even when I went 9 MONTHS without a period not sexually active. She always struck it up to stress and exercise which was, at the time a reasonable explanation due to being in the things I was in at the time. So at the age of 20 I was sick and tired of my irregular period, bed bounding cramps, hair in unwanted (non feminine) places, and pregnancy scares. I was living in California at the time hours away from any relative. I made an appointment with a GYN doctor that had really good reviews. I told her everything that has gone on with my period going all the way back to 2016. The doctor who was a very nice and understanding, she diagnosed me with PCOS. My world stopped when I heard those words, I had mentally prepared myself for it but it was different when being told I had it. I've always dreamt of having little mini me's running around. Now that the possibility could be gone I've been so lost.
